The Used veröffentlichen einen neuen Song mit Jason Butler (Fever 333)

The Used melden sich mit einem neuen Song zurück! Nachdem die Band um Frontmann Bert McCracken zuletzt 2017 ihr aktuelles Album „The Canyon“ auf den Markt gebracht hat, gab es über das Wochenende neue Musik auf die Ohren.

Der taufrische Track heißt „Blow Me“ und kommt mit prominenter Unterstützung daher. Auf der Single gastiert nämlich Fever 333-Frontmann Jason Butler. Ihr könnt euch den Output dieser Kollaboration weiter unten anhören.

Die Band ließ dazu folgendes wissen:

„The Used are proud to present our new song ‘Blow Me‘ featuring Jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333. Whether metaphorically signifying the power of words in general, or magnifying concern for the situation of societal gun violence, we urge the fans of our music to find individual and personal meaning in all of our songs. Auch Jason Butler kommentierte die Zusammenarbeit und gibt außerdem einen Einblick in das neue Material der Band:

„If I’m being honest, I’ve been a fan of this band since the first single they put on an Atticus Clothing comp CD back in 2002. I heard ‘Box Full Of Sharp Objects‘ and thought- ‘This is it. This is the next step in heavier music with melodic sensibility. I loved it. I studied it. Then I met the man that produced it, John Feldmann. Loved him. Studied him.

Then- a couple months ago I was asked by the band and John to sing on a track from the new album. They played me some songs and, no bullshit, I got that feeling I felt when I first heard ‘Box Full‘ on that comp 17 years ago. For any and all The Used fans – they’re back again. In a BIG fucking way.“

The Used ließen uns im Zuge der Veröffentlichung des neuen Tracks nämlich außerdem wissen, dass sie an ihrem neuen Studioalbum arbeiten. Die bevorstehende LP markiert bereits die achte Full-Length-Platte der US-Amerikaner.

Auch Jason Butler ist aktuell wirklich busy. Neben dem neuen Track mit The Used veröffentlichte er sowohl mit Fever 333 als auch mit seiner anderen Band Pressure Cracks dieser Tage zwei neue Singles.
