Stand Atlantic crashen mit Royal & The Serpent die „Pity Party“

Was für ein Tag für Fans von Stand Atlantic. Nachdem die Pop-Punker vergangene Woche ein catchy Snippet ihres Tracks „Pity Party“ geleakt haben, hat vor allem die bandeigene TikTok-Challenge die Spannung in die Höhe getrieben.

Die Herausforderung: Zur Songvorschau eine zweite Strophe hinzutexten und das Band-TikTok mit einer Performance dessen duettieren.

Ebenfalls unter den unzähligen kreativen Beiträgen: Ryan Santiago (Vocalist und Künstlerin hinter Indie-Pop Act Royal & The Serpent), die auch ihren eigenen Vers beisteuerte.

“Sound mad. Should we make it happen?”, so die Antwort der australischen Kombo auf Santiagos Video. Schließlich wurden die Gebete erhört und der Feature-Traum ging in Erfüllung.

Na gut, so ganz spontan scheint die Kollaboration nicht gewesen zu sein, denn ein explosiver Visualizer feierte am Release-Tag ebenfalls noch seine Premiere.

Dennoch ein feurig-fetter Track über frustrierend anstrengende Drama Kings und Queens, zu dem Frontfrau Bonnie Fraser ausführt:

“It seems everyday someone is inviting you to their ‘pity party’ – hoping you will enable or put a band-aid on them. Sometimes you gotta cut people like this out of your life as they will drag you down and it’s not until you let them go that you realise what kind of hold they may have had on you.”

Das neue Album “F.E.A.R” erscheint im Mai

Bei dem Release handelt es sich nach neuesten Erkenntnissen um einen weiteren Vorgeschmack auf das dritte Studioalbum der Australier.

“F.E.A.R” – kurz für “Fuck Everything And Run” – erscheint am 06. Mai via Hopeless Records und bildet so die Nachfolge zur aktuellen LP “Pink Elephant” aus 2020.

Ganze 14 Titel wird die brandneue Platte fassen, wobei neben dem Killer-Feature deathwish mit nothing,nowhere. und dem aggressiv voran preschenden Stück “molotov [OK]” nun auch noch Track 2 bekannt ist.

Hierbei liest sich die gesamte Tracklist wie folgt:

Bonnie beschreibt die kommende LP als “anti-concept album”, welches ein “‘fuck you’ to the conventional bullshit Hollywood-style story that musicians tell you fell out of their ass” in die Branche hallen soll.

Wer sich die Vorfreude bis Mai mit Live-Performances der Band versüßen möchte, darf auch noch auf deren Headliner-Tour 2022 hoffen. Die bisher noch nicht abgesagte Sause besteht aus vier Deutschland-Dates, die für Anfang März angedacht sind. Fingers crossed!
