Saint Asonia (Ex-Three Days Grace etc.) covern „Blinding Lights“ von The Weeknd

Die unter anderem aus ehemaligen und aktiven Mitgliedern von Three Days Grace und Staind bestehenden Saint Asonia melden sich mit neuen Klängen wieder auf der Bildfläche zurück. Im konkreten Fall ist die Bezeichnung „neu“ vielleicht nicht ganz korrekt, aber immerhin handelt es sich um ein neues Cover zum Multi-Platinum-Hit „Blinding Lights“ von The Weeknd.

Frontmann Adam Gontier hatte zur Version, die die Band kredenzt hat, folgende Worte auf Lager.

“It’s always interesting deciding on a song to cover. In this case, I just wanted to do something that people wouldn’t necessarily expect. I mean, any way you look at it, ‘Blinding Lights’ is a GREAT song. It was fun to give it our flavor, and add our style to it. Also, both we and The Weeknd are Canadian, specifically from the Toronto area, so that made it even sweeter. We’re all pumped with how it turned out. It hits hard.”

Gegründet haben sich Saint Asonia im Jahre 2015 unter anderem rund um den ehemaligen Three Days Grace-Sänger Adam Gontier sowie Staind-Gitarrist Mike Mushok.

Darüber hinaus besteht die Supergroup zusätzlich aus den beiden Art Of Dying-Mitgliedern Cale Gontier (Bass) und Cody Watkins (Schlagzeug).

2022 geht es für die Formation auf Tour. Auch in Deutschland will das Projekt dabei Halt machen:
