Neun Jahre lang haben Vitja die Szene mit ihrer Musik unsicher gemacht. Nun ist nach knapp einer Dekade Schluss, denn die Band gibt ihre Auflösung bekannt.

Auch wenn das Ganze ziemlich überraschend kommt, sind die Gründe, die dem ausführlichen Statement zu entnehmen sind, nachvollziehbar.

Die Ausführungen zu den Entscheidungen haben wir euch nachfolgend aufgeführt.

Vitja lösen sich auf

„After it has gotten a bit quiet around us in the last few months, we hereby announce the end of Vitja. Of course, this decision has been anything but easy for us, but unavoidable for various reasons. We close the book Vitja after our last chapter ‚Thirst‘.

Perspectives, lifestyles, opinions and the everyday view of life are constantly changing, which leads us to the conclusion of not having an equal base, which is essential to being able to perform as a band.

Mayn of you had been expecting new material from us and it was our honest wish to stand up to those expectations. However, we made this decision and we apologize to anyone being disappointed.

Many years, some line-up changes, tons of ups and downs have made Vitja what it is today, what we are today.

We would like to thank all fans, our crew, our families, former band members, all supporters and haters from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable time and thousands of incomparable moments. These will remain forever.

If one door closes, a new one opens.

Wir wünschen den Bandmitgliedern alles Gute für ihre private und musikalische Zukunft und hoffen, den ein oder anderen vielleicht wiederzusehen und wiederzuhören.

Vitja gründeten sich 2013 und brachten seitdem vier Alben auf den Markt. Zuletzt erschien 2019 der Longplayer „Thirst“ über Arising Empire. Im Frühjahr 2020 gab’s dann noch einen neuen Song namens „Payback“ zu hören, seitdem wurde es still um die Band.
