Slipknot-Mitglied Sid Wilson: Neues Album wird Fans nicht enttäuschen

Die Mannen von Slipknot arbeiten fleißig an ihrem sage und schreibe siebten Langspieler. Nun verrät DJ Sid Wilson in einem Interview, wie es um die kommende Platte steht.

Hier die neuesten Updates zum anstehenden Album von Slipknot

Der bisher noch unbetitelte Nachfolger der 2019er „We Are Not Your Kind“-LP soll laut Slipknot-Fronter Corey Taylor noch vor diesem Sommer auf den Markt kommen. Wie nun auch der Mann hinter den drehenden Scheiben bestätigt, ist der neue Longplayer im Kasten:

„Yeah, as far as I know, all the members are finished recording parts, and it should be in the final stages. Actually, it’s been kind of tough, with the COVID restrictions and everything, trying to get the studio sessions done. So it’s taken a little bit longer than I think we would like, but, yeah, we managed to get it nailed down.“

Außerdem verrät Sid Wilson auch, was wir vom neuen Slipknot-Album erwarten können:

„I don’t think everyone will ever be disappointed with what we do because we’re going to stay true to ourselves and do the music that we feel is necessary to get it all out. You know what I mean? It’s kind of a therapy session as well. I think when they listen to it, it comes through that way and not approaching it from the perspective of a rock star and what we think that the world would think of us for doing certain kind of creativity. We just want to give the most honest representation of ourselves on the whole as we can.“

Neben dem neuen Material erwarten uns in diesem Jahr auch Live-Auftritte von den maskierten Mannen. Aktuell sind Slipknot in den USA unterwegs und bringen noch in diesem Sommer erstmals das Knotfest nach Deutschland. Am 30. Juli 2022 erwartet uns in und außerhalb der Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen ein Indoor- und Outdoor-Spektakel der Extraklasse auf zwei Bühnen.
