Lorna Shore: Neues Album erscheint mit den Vocals von CJ McCreery

Obwohl Lorna Shore den Grund dafür, ihren Frontmann CJ McCreery aus der Band zu kicken, nie wirklich explizit erwähnt haben, liegt selbiger klar auf der Hand. McCreery sah sich in den vergangenen Wochen mit mehr und mehr Missbrauchsvorwürfen (manche davon mit überaus detaillierter Beschreibung) konfrontiert. Ein Rauswurf war somit eigentlich vorprogrammiert.

Alles andere als klar war bis zuletzt allerdings, was mit dem für den 31. Januar angekündigten Studioalbum „Immortal“ passieren würde. Genau darüber haben die übrigen Mitglieder jetzt aber eine Entscheidung gefällt.

Trotz Kontroverse: Lorna Shore veröffentlichen Album mit der Stimme von CJ McCreery

In einem längeren Statement bedankt man sich bei der Fangemeinde und lässt wissen, dass der Longplayer entgegen aller Vermutungen mit den originalen Vocals von McCreery auf den Markt kommen wird.

Man möchte so schnell es geht mit einem neuen Frontmann zurückkehren, die Veröffentlichung des Albums mit neuen Aufnahmen durch einen anderen Sänger allerdings nicht noch weiter nach hinten verschieben.

Zu guter Letzt wird erneut bekräftigt, dass man nach wie vor bei der Faces of Death Tour 2020 mit Decapitated, Beyond Creation, Ingested und Viscera mit von der Partie sein werde (Termine und Tickets weiter unten).

Today, we are announcing that we, in conjunction with the understanding and incredibly supportive people at Century Media Records, have made the decision to release our new album, ‘Immortal‘ on January 31, 2020 as planned. The decision was something we did not take lightly. We have already begun the search for a new vocalist, and we have EVERY INTENTION to continue Lorna Shore stronger than ever.

Our fans and the metal community have been extremely patient through multiple delays surrounding this album. You’ve waited long enough. It makes no sense to scrap or revise the record with new vocals, which was a feeling shared by both the band and label.

So to be clear – Lorna Shore is all systems go. We will have further announcements regarding a new vocalist as soon as possible. Europe/UK tour with Decapitated is happening. Don’t believe anything you hear unless you hear it from us. We won’t let you down.
