Am Freitag erscheint das neue Studioalbum „Afterburner“ von Dance Gavin Dance. Zumindest in digitaler Form. Denn wegen des Corona-Lockdowns muss die Veröffentlichung in physischer Form verschoben werden.

Because non-essential shipping in the US is suspended, we were feeling pressure to postpone Afterburner’s release date, but we decided the fans deserved the album on 4/24 as promoted. The best way to support the band right now is to buy a digital copy on iTunes, Amazon Music, or GooglePlay. We appreciate you! -DGD

Wie die Band wissen ließ, könne die Auslieferung der bereits bestellten CDs und Vinyls wegen der Einschränkungen in Wirtschaft und Verkehr nicht gewährleistet werden.

In digitaler Form werde das Album dennoch ab Freitag zu hören sein.

„With the absence of physical/retail sales, that now most likely won’t be the case—but it was more important to us to keep our original release date than a higher position on a chart right now. With that being said, we hope that all our fans will support us the best they can by streaming it on whatever platform you prefer. Digitally purchasing the album (iTunes, Amazon Music, GooglePlay) counts as an actual sale and would be much appreciated by everyone on our team.

Everyone that ordered a physical album or bundle on our direct sites, we thank you very much, and you will be receiving your digital download upon release day, that you can use immediately. When the CD and albums are available, they will be sent out directly, and the album will also be available at many retail stores that sell music.“

Dann freuen wir uns wenigstens darauf, „Afterburner“ am Freitag über die gängingen Streaming-Plattform hören zu dürfen.

Der Longplayer erscheint indes am 24. April und markiert den nunmehr neunten Longplayer von Dance Gavin Dance.

Zuletzt brachten sie 2018 ihr Studioalbum „Artificial Selection“ auf den Markt.
