Bullet For My Valentine: Neues Album wird „sehr hart“ und „brutal“

Vor zwei Jahren brachten Bullet For My Valentine ihr aktuelles Studioalbum „Gravity“ auf den Markt. Nun arbeiten die Waliser laut Frontmann Matt Tuck an einem Nachfolgewerk und das verspricht einiges.

Wie er in einem Interview mit Rock Sound verrät, gehe es musikalisch in die komplett andere Richtung als zuletzt „Gravity“. Die Musik darauf werde „hart“ und „brutal“.

Neues Album von Bullet For My Valentine wird laut Matt Tuck „sehr hart“

„It’s pretty brutal, to be honest. It couldn’t be more of a contrast with ‚Gravity‘ in a ferocious style. It’s very technical. I don’t know why. You’ve just gotta go with what you wanna go with — as a band, as a musician, as a songwriter, you’ve just gotta go with what’s floating your boat, and this time around, the heavy stuff is just coming out in masses. The riffs are crushing. There’s probably 60 percent aggressive vocals, 40 [percent] clean, which is a ratio we’ve never really dabbled with before. It’s very heavy, it’s very technical. For the BULLET fans out there that kind of like that side of this band, it’s very cool and very exciting. It feels good.“

Wenn das keine netten Aussichten sind, dann wissen wir auch nicht.

Die Band arbeitet im Übrigen erneut mit Carl Bown zusammen, der bereits bei „Gravity“ sowie dem Vorgänger „Venom“ von 2015 seine Finger im Spiel hatte.

Wann genau wir mit der Scheibe rechnen dürfen, ist natürlich nicht ganz klar. Laut Matt Tuck werde es erst nach der Coronakrise konkret. Ob sie dann dieses oder nächstes Jahr effektiv im Studio arbeiten können, wisse er noch nicht.

„We have got plans to work with other people later in the year, and that was all kind of ready to go, but we’re not sure where we stand with that now because of schedules and [the coronavirus-related delays] having a knock-off effect and [us] not being able to start probably till 2021 now. We just don’t know if we wanna wait that long.“

„Gravity“ markiert das nunmehr sechste Studioalbum von Bullet For My Valentine.

Ihr Debütwerk „The Poison“ brachte die Band aus Wales anno 2005 auf den Markt.
