Anti-Flag präsentieren ihren brandneuen Song „Christian Nationalist“

Anti-Flag arbeiten aktuell an einem neuen Studioalbum und allem Anschein nach erreicht uns daraus nun ein erster Song. Die Band veröffentlichte nun nämlich einen brandneuen Song namens „Christian Nationalist“.

Zwar ist bisher nicht klar, ob der Track auch wirklich Teil der neuen Platte ist. Es handelt sich dabei dennoch um das erste Material der Punkrock-Band seit der Release des (noch) aktuellen Albums „American Fall“ anno 2017.

Wir haben euch den taufrischen Track natürlich weiter unten zum Anhören bereit gestellt.

Und wir kann es auch anders sein, natürlich kommt der Track mit einem politischen Statement daher. Frontmann Justin Sane kommentierte den neusten Output wie folgt:

„History is full of wealthy and powerful people using religion and cultism to justify policies of oppression and inequality. Invariably, these policies target the most vulnerable in society so that elites can maintain their dominance. Today we see this same strategy employed by right wing politicians all over the world. Just as the anti-fascists of the 1930’s and 1940’s rejected the fascist ideologies of their era, we reject the neo-fascists of this era. Theocracy is dangerous and inherently anti-democratic because it restricts individual choice and provides an avenue by which politicians can claim a moral superiority over ‚the other‘. It gives political cover and justification for policies and actions which might otherwise be deemed morally objectionable, inhuman, or adverse to the best interest of the country.“

Die bevorstehende Platte markiert bereits das zwölfte Studioalbum von Anti-Flag.
