Volbeat brechen Show ab, ohne einen einzigen Song gespielt zu haben

Erst Ende September mussten Volbeat eine Show im britischen Bristol wegen gesundheitlicher Probleme eines Bandmitglieds absagen. Dabei handelt es sich allem Anschein nach um Frontmann Michael Poulsen.

Denn jetzt musste die dänische Band erneut eine Show abbrechen. Am 03. Oktober sollten sie eine Show in Belfast spielen, doch bevor die Kombo überhaupt einen Song zu Ende gebracht hatte, brachen sie das Set ab.

Als Grund dafür wurden später technische Zwischenfälle sowie außerdem Probleme Poulsens mit seiner Stimme angegeben. In einem Statement heißt es:

„We in Volbeat want to extend our most heartfelt apologies for having to cancel tonight’s show in Belfast. As many of you know, Michael has been having some throat issues and we ran into multiple technical issues on stage that prevented the band from being able to hear each other play. While he has mostly recovered his voice at this point, it was decided that had he continued to play the show this way he would have risked blowing out his voice again and having to cancel even more shows. We’re gutted that we weren’t able to perform for you tonight, but we will be back to reschedule the show as soon as we possibly can.“

Über die sozialen Medien wurde außerdem bekannt, dass es auch Soundprobleme bei den beiden Vorbands Danko Jones und Baroness gegeben haben soll.
