Venom Prison kündigen ihr neues Album „Erebos“ an

Venom Prison haben vor etwa einem Jahr ihr aktuelles Album „Primeval“ auf den Markt gebracht. Die live-losen Monate nutzten die Waliser nun nicht etwa zum Faulenzen, nein – man arbeitete fleißig an neuem Material.

Und so kommt es, dass bereits ein neuer Longplayer in den Startlöchern steht, den die Kombo nun ankündigt. Demnach dürfen wir uns am 04. Februar 2022 auf die Scheibe „Erebos“ freuen.

Infos zu einer Tracklist o.ä. sind noch nicht bekannt, doch ein neuer Song soll uns „soon“ erwarten. Gut möglich, dass uns dann auch Infos zur Platte erreichen.

Das Cover-Artwork entwarf einmal mehr Eli Kantor. Dazu hatte die Band folgende Worte parat:

„Being able to work with our dear friend Eliran on another piece of art for Venom Prison has been exciting as always. Kantor knows the band perfectly well to capture our music and poetry into a visual masterpiece every single time. ‘Erebos‘ was a personal one for both Eliran Kantor and ourselves. This artwork captures the moment a young person dies inside as they are surrounded by horror. In the moment their innocence is lost and desensitization will from now on fuel the repetition of the cycle of violence in their life. This is ‘Erebos‘ the one born from chaos.“

Die aktuelle Platte „Primeval“ enthält Songs der beiden bereits zuvor veröffentlichten EPs „Primal Chaos“ und „Defy The Tyrant“ sowie zwei weitere Tracks.

Dieser Tage wären Venom Prison eigentlich hierzulande auf Tour gewesen, doch daraus wurde offensichtlich nichts. Wann wir mit Nachholterminen rechnen dürfen, ist noch nicht bekannt.
