SILENT SCREAMS: Kein Split, aber…

Es sind Meldungen wie diese, bei denen man nicht so genau weiß, ob man froh sein soll oder nicht… im aktuellen Fall sind davon die von uns sehr geschätzten SILENT SCREAMS betroffen. Diese posteten am gestrigen Tage folgende ominöse Nachricht:

„Everything Ends.
Tomorrow we will be making an announcement about the future of our band.
Thank You.“

Zurecht durfte man nun das Schlimmste befürchten. Doch dem ist glücklicherweise nicht so. SILENT SCREAMS bleiben nach wie vor bestehen und basteln weiter an neuem Material. Doch für ein aktuelles Mitglied wird die Reise schon bald enden. Demnach wird Bassist und Clean-Sänger Tom Craig in Kürze die Band verlassen. Sicherlich ein schwerer Verlust, da Craig zweifelsfrei zu einem der besten cleanen Sänger des Genres gehört und ein Ersatz hierfür nur schwer zu finden ist.

Craig selbst wird nach aktuellen Aussagen noch vom 27. November bis 03. Dezember auf der demnächst startenden Tour mit THE BROWNING, CAPTURE THE CROWN und WALKING WITH STRANGERS an Bord sein. Danach ist aber endgültig Schluss. So bleibt der Tour-Stopp in Oberhausen diesen Samstag die letzte Möglichkeit, Craig bei SILENT SCREAMS live in Deutschland zu sehen.

SILENT SCREAMS selbst arbeiten nun weiter an ihrem dritten Album und versprechen im gleichen Atemzug, morgen eine neue Single namens „Everything Ends“ zu veröffentlichen. Einen ersten Vorgeschmack gibt es schon jetzt. Weiter unten findet ihr die Statements der Bands sowie von Tom Craig persönlich.

It is with heavy heart that we announce our bass player/singer Tom Craig is leaving Silent Screams. We all remain good friends and wish him the best of luck with his future ventures! Toms statement will follow shortly!

As you guys may of noticed we posted the statement ‚Everything Ends‘ yesterday. This does signify the end of an era with Tom but this is not the end of Silent Screams.
Everything Ends is the title of our new single.

Tom’s statement –

Hey everyone! Tom here. As you can probably tell by the length of this status, I’m about to bring you guys some news. It’s with a heavy heart I have to let you all know that my time In Silent Screams has come to an end and I will be leaving the band. The last 6 years have been incredible and this band has taken me places I used to dream about growing up. I never thought I’d make 2 albums that found their way into shops and into people’s lives. I never thought I’d travel half way around the world touring and meeting incredible people. This band has opened up my eyes to the world and opportunities out there and has made me the man I am today. But nothing lasts forever and my journey here is over. It’s time for me to start a new chapter in my life and take a different path. This is not a negative thing for me or the guys though! They will be carrying on stronger than ever and the third album from silent screams will blow you all away I shit you not. I want to thank each and every one of you personally for all your support towards me and this band. It blows my mind that there’s so many of you that genuinely care about the music that comes from SS. Thanks to everyone that ever listened,came to a show,sang along,bought a shirt,a cd,came and said hey, asked for a picture or a signature. Those countless connections will remain with me always
