Nothing More wollen sich 2020 auf ihr neues Album konzentrieren

Zwei Jahre ist es her, dass Nothing More ihr aktuelles Album „The Stories We Tell Ourselves“ auf den Markt gebracht haben. Nun will sich die Band 2020 auf einen Nachfolger der Platte konzentrieren.

Das verrieten jetzt Gitarrist Mark Vollelunga und Bassist Daniel Oliver in einem Interview mit dem Radiosender 95.9 KRFF. Das gesamte Interview haben wir euch weiter unten zu Verfügung gestellt.

Auf die Frage, welche Pläne die Band für kommendes Jahr schmiede, antwortete Vollelunga (via Blabbermouth):

„We’re 100 percent focused on the next record. We’re excited. We did, I forget how many shows last year, I think it was over 150. We were gone about 250 days. We played most countries that speak English, so the tours have been an awesome experience. It’s going to feel great to finally put that down and put all of our attention on what’s to come.“

Da sagen wir doch nicht nein. Der Gitarist verriet außerdem, wie sie die Arbeiten an der neuen LP angehen wollen.

„I’m thinking the same way you expect the next book from an author, but it’s just kind of what’s next for us. I don’t know about the other guys, but I don’t really feel that pressure. I’m just writing music and telling stories kind of like what we do. That’s one of my favorite things to do. I’m just really excited with a lot of the new material we have going on and just ready to get back in there. We’ve set up a horrible type of jam room in these dressing rooms or locker rooms of hockey arenas on this tour already, and it’s been fun just making noise again. It’s time to create.“

Das bevorstehende Album würde den nunmehr sechsten Longplayer von Nothing More markieren.

In den USA befindet sich die Band um Frontmann Jonny Hawkins derzeit mit Ghost auf Tour. Wann sie hierzulande wieder live zu sehen sind, ist derzeit noch nicht klar.
