Nothing But Thieves bringen ihre neue Single „Oh No :: He Said What?“ an den Start

Nothing But Thieves haben im Sommer letzten Jahres ihres aktuelles Album „Dead Club City“ auf den Markt gebracht. Nun will die Kombo das Ganze noch mal veredeln und bringt deshalb in Kürze eine Deluxe Edition des aktuellen Werks auf den Markt.

Nothing But Thieves kündigen Deluxe Version von „Death Club City“ an

„Dead Club City Deluxe“ erscheint am 15. März 2024 via RCA/Sony. Die Platte enthält alle bekannten Stücke des Longplayers sowie drei neue Songs, die auf die Namen „Oh No :: He Said What?“, „Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God“ und „Pure You“ hören. Weiterhin sind jeweils stripped Versionen von „Overcome“ und „Tomorrow Is Closed“ darauf zu finden.

Eine der drei neuen Songs gibt’s sogleich zu hören, denn NBT lassen den Track „Oh No :: He Said What?“ von der Leine. Wie der Song klingt, könnt ihr euch natürlich wie immer nachfolgend zu Gemüte führen. Der taufrische Track steht hier und jetzt für euch bereit.

Zum Song hat die Band folgende Worte parat:

„Like ‘Welcome To The DCC’, the song is mostly from the point of view of those running ‘Dead Club City’ – except now, they’re panicked by the monster they’ve helped to create. The grifters have moved in. A utopia that was meant to be beyond borders or traditional government control has been dragged back down by the human condition, maybe it was inevitable.

The song was the very last thing we finished off in the studio and at one point wasn’t really part of the concept. The story was meant to end with ‘Pop The Balloon’ but these extra songs leave the door open a bit. We like that. Maybe we’ll want to check in on ‘Dead Club City’ in a decade’s time and see how it’s doing?“

Die Originalfassung von „Dead Club City“ stellt den insgesamt vierten Full-Length-Player von Nothing But Thieves dar. Zuvor erschien 2020 die Scheibe „Moral Panic“.
