Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
Mit Northlane reiht sich eine weitere bekannte Band in die Riege der Gruppierungen ein, die ihre Dinge fortan lieber selbst in die Hand nehmen möchten. Und zwar zu 100%.
Die Kombo aus Down-Under hat jetzt ihren Gang Richtung komplette Unabhängigkeit verkündet und gleichzeitig einen Community-gestützten Patreon-Service namens „Northlane World Eaters“ an den Start gebracht.
Hierzu ließen Frontmann Marcus Bridge und seine Kollegen folgendes wissen:
„We have worked tirelessly over the last 12 years to become the best version of Northlane that we possibly can, but times are changing. We are a completely independent band. We have no label, no management and we self produce our own records.
The Northlane Wordeaters is our chance to give more to our fans, to safeguard the longevity of what we love to do, and create a community of likeminded people to share ideas and our love for music.“

Einen ganz ähnlichen Schritt wagten dato übrigens unter anderem auch While She Sleeps, deren Outputs nur noch in anderen Ländern von entsprechenden Labels vertrieben werden. Ganz ohne Unterstützung geht es zumindest weltweit dann doch eher schlecht als recht.
