Vor drei Jahren haben Bullet For My Valentine ihr bislang noch aktuelles Album „Gravity“ ins Rennen geschickt. Allem Anschein nach steht schon bald aber die dringend nötige Wachablöse bevor.
Auf ihren Socials teasen BFMV derzeit mit einem Teaser etwas, was uns bereits am kommenden Freitag, dem 18. Juni erwarten soll. Um was es dabei wohl geht?
Sehr wahrscheinlich doch um neue Musik, denn bekanntlich arbeiten die Mannen um Sänger Matthew Tuck an einem brandneuen Studioalbum und somit auch dem Nachfolger von „Gravity“.
Vor über einem Jahr beschrieb Tuck den Sound der neuen Platte als „ziemlich brutal“. Der Longplayer stelle demnach einen starken Kontrast zum noch aktuellen Album dar:
“It’s pretty brutal, to be honest. It couldn’t be more of a contrast with ‘Gravity‘ in a ferocious style. It’s very technical. I don’t know why. You’ve just gotta go with what you wanna go with—as a band, as a musician, as a songwriter, you’ve just gotta go with what’s floating your boat, and this time around, the heavy stuff is just coming out in masses. The riffs are crushing. There’s probably 60 percent aggressive vocals, 40 clean, which is a ratio we’ve never really dabbled with before. It’s very heavy, it’s very technical. For the Bullet fans out there that kind of like that side of this band, it’s very cool and very exciting. It feels good.”
Im besten Fall dürfen wir uns Freitag dann sowohl über eine neue Single UND die Ankündigung des nächsten Albums der Band freuen.
