Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
Sechs Studio-Alben können die Mannen von Slipknot bislang ihr Eigen nennen. Eine Diskographie, die von 1999 bis 2019 reicht und deren einzelne Werke mitunter als Meilensteine in der Musikgeschichte gelten.
Bislang gibt es kein Box-Set auf Vinyl, doch scheinbar ist es das, was absolute Fans und Sammler in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft erwarten dürfen. Wie Shawn „Clown“ Crahan in einem Q&A mit Murphy Quint, Chef-Destillateur in der Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery, die den neuen Whiskey No. 9 der Band herstellte, verriet, sei auch er selbst großer Fan von Schallplatten.
Dass die Diskographie seiner Band dann auch als großes Sammelsurium erschienen wird, sei eine sichere Sache.
„The cool thing about vinyl is that it brings a lot of possibilities for art. So the possibility to have a collection of all of ‚em would be amazing. There’s always that opportunity. It’s just time; what we’re working on at the moment. But that is a really, really good idea, because growing up, you can imagine, being 51, I grew up in record stores looking at vinyl and seeing large photos really helping me sort of dive into what I thought the thought process of this band would be. So to have a collection of all of ‚em, especially if they were all very different and sort of collectively showed the art throughout the years, I think it’d be a very colorful, beautiful piece. So I definitely that’s something in our future, for sure.“

Die aktuelle sechste LP „We Are Not Your Kind“ erschien 2019. Allem Anschein nach dürfen wir in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft mit neuem Material rechen. Frontmann Corey Taylor deutete zuletzt ein Konzeptalbum an.
Planmäßig stehen Slipknot im Spätsommer beim Wacken Open Air 2021 auf der Bühne. Das Festival findet aktuell noch wie geplant statt. Die Maskenkombo soll hier erstmals als Headliner auftreten.
