Paramore: Hayley Williams „weiß nicht, was als nächstes mit der Band passiert“

Seit dem Release ihres aktuellen Studioalbums „After Laughter“ im Jahr 2017 ist es recht still um Paramore geworden. Sängerin Hayley Williams nahm in den vergangenen Wochen eine kleine Auszeit von den sozialen Medien und zog sich etwas zurück.

Paramore-Frontfrau spricht über den Stand der Band

In einem Interview mit Entertainment Tonight sprach die Sängerin nun darüber, wo die Band aktuell steht und wie es weitergeht.

Sie habe sich erst am Vorabend mit ihren Bandkollegen getroffen, doch scheinbar ging es bei dem Treffen nicht ums Geschäftliche, sondern war eher ein Zusammenkommen unter Freunden.

„My first creative outlet was music, and even though people are going to see me in this kind of space with Brian [O’Connor, hair artist] a lot more, I don’t want people to forget. I was like, ‘I’m just going to leave this here and see you guys on the flip side.’ I really don’t know what’s next for Paramore, but the guys and I just had dinner the other night at my house. I think we’re just really enjoying being friends and adult human beings at home by ourselves without music.“

Sie wurde weiterhin gefragt, wie sie den Stand von Rockmusik in der heutigen Zeit einschätzt.

„I think, for us, one of the things we were talking about the other night is the shit we grew up on. We were listening to stuff and kind of taking a walk down memory lane. The stuff that we were born and raised on is the stuff that still pulses through our veins today. Whatever comes out next will be very true to it whether it sounds like rock or not, I don’t know.“

Es steht also nach wie vor in den Sternen, wie es mit Paramore weiter geht und wann wir neues Material zu hören bekommen.

Die aktuelle Platte „After Laughter“ ist das fünfte Studioalbum der Band.
