Machine Head: Neues Material ist in Planung
Ein neues Album gibt es aber erst einmal noch nicht.
Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
Angesichts des 25-jährigen Jubiläums des Machine Head-Debütalbums „Burn My Eyes“ hat Frontmann Robb Flynn die originalen Bandmitglieder Logan Mader und Chris Kontos für eine Anniversary-Tour um sich geschart.
Der seit 2013 aktive Bassist Jared MacEachern komplettiert derweil die Riege hierfür.
Doch bei einer Tour soll es anscheinend nicht bleiben; auch neues Material habe man sich überlegt, wie es nun heißt.
Neuer Machine Head-Song kommt im September
Ein vollwertiges Album werde dabei vorerst nicht herauskommen, aber immerhin eine Latte an Standalone-Songs; so jedenfalls Flynn höchstpersönlich im Rahmen einer Facebook Live-Session (via Blabbermouth).
Ein erster von wahrscheinlich vier oder fünf neuen Songs nennt sich „Do Or Die“ und wird angeblich nächsten Monat im Zuge einer US-Tourankündigung auf die Öffentlichkeit losgelassen.
“There’s not gonna be an album; there’s just gonna be a steady stream of standalone tracks that are consistently released. And then eventually they may or may not end up on an album. But we’re mixing it up. We wanna do this new model where we can put stuff out faster and get new music out quicker to the die-hards. We wanna have this ability to not just have an album come out every three years, which is what we’ve been doing — every four years sometimes — and just make it quicker and more consistent and more like a regular thing. I don’t know what it’s gonna be, but I’m definitely excited about it. I’m excited for you guys to hear this new shit.”
