Twenty One Pilots lassen sich auch auf Tour zu neuen Songs inspirieren

Die Twenty One Pilots befinden sich derzeit noch immer auf ihrer „Bandito“-Welttournee, doch das hält Sänger Tyler Joseph nicht davon ab, sich zu Songs für ein neues Album inspirieren zu lassen.

Wie Joseph in einem Interview mit den Kollegen von Kerrang! nun verrät, arbeite er ständig an neuen Songideen und sammelt neue Themen und Sounds, während er unterwegs ist.

Da sie ihr Equipment sowieso dabei haben, spricht nichts dagegen, Ideen für ein Nachfolgewerk des 2018 erschienenen Albums „Trench“ zu sammeln.

„I’m always working on songs. What I’m doing right now is really just collecting a lot of ideas and a lot of sounds. We have the ability to bring recording gear around the world with us, and so the instruments are there, the tools are there, the resources are the and the inspiration is there. So we’re just kind of collecting ideas right now.“

Twenty One Pilots ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Songs

Er nutze beispielsweise Erholungspausen oder Off-Days dazu, sich inspirieren zu lassen und seinen Ideen eine Form zu geben. Bandkollege Josh Dunn und er hätten nämlich keine bestimmte Strategie, an neuem Material während der Tour zu arbeiten.

Sie lassen es einfach geschehen und stellen sicher, dass ihre Ideen während des Performens nicht verloren gehen.

„If anything, writing is tough for me on the road, just because of the logistic reason of vocal rest, and needing to take a break in between shows so that my throat can recover. There’s always going to be a bit of limitation to what it is we’re able to write on the road, just because we’re trying to recover from each night of playing. So we’re not sure what our strategy is, except that while we’re touring, we’re going to make sure that we have a basin to catch all of the cool ideas that may come to us as we’re performing.“

Joseph habe es dennoch nicht eilig, so schnell wie möglich ein neues Album auf den Markt zu bringen. Er genieße die Tour und sei noch immer stolz auf „Trench“, sodass das Vorrang für ihn hat.
