The HU droppen „This Is Mongol (Warrior Souls)” feat. William DuVall (Alice In Chains)

The HU haben seit September ihr aktuelles Album „Rumble of Thunder“ am Start. Daraus koppelt die mongolische Kombo nun erneut den ersten Track aus und legt ihn zusammen mit Alice In Chains-Sänger William DuVall neu auf. Wie die Neuinterpretation des Songs klingt, erfahrt ihr nachfolgend.

Im Track geht es um die Erhaltung der Natur und die spirituelle Verbindung zur Erde. In der neuen Version übernimmt DuVall Gesang-Parts, die ins Englische übersetzt wurden. Der Refrain unterstützt die ursprüngliche Botschaft des Songs und lautet:

„We are warrior souls, rolling like a river of fire /
We are warrior souls, running down the dragon to slay /
This is our way (This is our way).“

Der Alice In Chains-Fronter äußert sich wie folgt zur Zusammenarbeit:

„It was such an exciting and fulfilling challenge to write and produce something that remained true to The Hu’s sensibilities while also resonating with my own. ‘Warrior Souls’ is a testament to the fact that, no matter where we come from, in the end, we all want the same things-to prosper in our own time despite the odds arrayed against us, making previous generations proud and leaving a worthy legacy for the future. „This Is Mongol (Warrior Souls)“ kommt direkt samt brandneuem Musikclip daher. Das Video hat Michael Lombardi co-produziert, der auch Hauptdarsteller und Co-Produzent von The Retaliators ist. Sowohl im Film als auch auf dem dazugehörigen Soundtrack sind The HU ebenfalls vertreten.
