Dass die Mannen von Ingested bereits seit einer Weile an neuem Material werkeln, ist schon längst bekannt.
Und wie es sich bereits abgezeichnet hat, wird es hierbei nicht um ein neues Album handeln. Stattdessen beliefert uns die Knüppeltruppe aus Manchester mit einer brandneuen EP.
Wie jetzt bestätigt wurde, wird diese den Namen „Call Of The Void“ tragen und am 14. Juni erscheinen. Eine erste Auskopplung der Platte gibt es in Form des Songs „Mouth of the Abyss“, den ihr euch weiter unten anhören könnt.
Drummer Lyn Jeffs hatte hierzu folgende Worte parat:
“Our new EP isn’t just material for materials sake or a stop gap between albums, this is something we feel is an important evolution in our style and is a piece of music that will again transcend the genre of slam. We feel immensely proud of ‘The Call Of The Void‘, it is something we have worked hard on to develop while on the road so much of 2018. It is darker, riff-heavy and atmospheric but still has all the ingredients that make Ingested what it is. To celebrate the release we are coming back to Europe on a short tour with our friends Within Destruction on select dates. We are excited for you guys to hear ‘The Call Of The Void‘ both on record and live.”
