Halloween steht quasi vor der Tür und wer feiert das wohl gebührend, wenn nicht Ice Nine Kills? Die Kombo um Frontmann Spencer Charnas hat sich für den Grusel-Feiertag des Jahres etwas ganz Besonderes einfallen lassen.

Am 30. Oktober 2020 veröffentlichen sie nämlich ihr neues Live-Album „I Heard The KILL Live“, auf dem Aufnahmen ihres jährlichen „Thanx-killing Fests“ vom 30. November 2019 enthalten sind. Die Tracklist mit sage und schreibe 19 Live-Songs liest sich wie folgt:

Als ersten Appetizer auf das, was uns da erwartet, gibt es nun bereits den Song „Stabbing In The Dark“ zu hören. Im Original stammt der Track vom aktuelle Album „The Silver Scream“, das 2018 auf den Markt kam. Die Live-Version könnt ihr euch nachfolgend zu Gemüte führen.

Spencer Charnas kommentierte die Show sowie die anstehende Release selbst mit folgenden Worten:
„The Worcester Palladium holds a very special place in the heart of INK’s history. On September 22nd, 2000, I attended a Goldfinger/Mest concert there that changed the course of my life. I knew after that incredibly high-energy show that I wanted to dedicate my life to writing and performing my own music. One year later, INK’s first show would take place on the very same stage at a battle of the bands that we did not win. The concert is pictured in this album insert. 18 years later we sold out the very same 3,000 capacity venue and recorded this live album there—a full circle moment that I will never forget. This album is dedicated to the INK psychos who allow us to make murder and mayhem an actual career.“
Die aktuelle Scheibe „The Silver Scream“, die konzeptionell an diverse Horrorfilme angelehnt ist, markiert das nunmehr fünfte Album von Ice Nine Kills. Vor kurzem brachten sie anlässlich des 40. Geburtstags des Horrorfilms „The Shining“ eine Akustik-EP auf den Markt.
„Richtig live“ war die Bostoner Band hierzulande im Vorprogramm von Papa Roach und Hollywood Undead zu sehen. Die laufende Tour wurde wegen der Coronavirus-Pandemie abgebrochen. Die ausstehenden Shows werden nicht mehr nachgeholt.
