Ghost Bath veröffentlichen die erste Single ihres neuen Albums

Julia L. ist die zweite Julia im MoreCore-Bunde und ergänzt das Team gerne mit Rezensionen, News, Live-Berichten sowie kleineren und größeren Schreibarbeiten. Als Germanistin aus dem schönen Hessen ist sie ständig hin- und hergerissen zwischen “da ist ein grammatikalischer Fehler im Satz!” und “am liebste tät isch de ganze Tach nur hessisch babbele”. Tippt sie nicht gerade wie wild auf der Tastatur rum, um irgendetwas zu Papier zu bringen, findet man sie gerne mit ihrem Hund im Feld oder auf Shows und Konzerten im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Für einige Bands fährt sie aber auch gerne mal nach NRW, Rheinland-Pfalz, Bayern oder Baden-Württemberg. Autofahren tut sie auch besonders gerne und hat dabei am liebsten gute Musik laufen. Leider will wegen der bei ihren Freunden verhassten “Schreimusik” kaum jemand mitfahren. Umso besser, denn dann hört niemand, wie schief sie mitsingt!
Alles neu bei Ghost Bath! Die US-Kombo brachte zuletzt vor fünf Jahren ihr (noch) aktuelles Album „Starmourner“ auf den Markt, nun steht endlich Nachschub in den Startlöchern.
Ghost Bath kündigen ihr neues Album „Self Loather“ an
Die Truppe kündigt ihren brandneuen Longplayer „Self Loather“ an. Die Scheibe erblickt am 29. Oktober 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records das Licht der Welt. Zehn Tracks, darunter auch ein Feature mit Thy Art Is Murder-Frontmann CJ McMahon, sind darauf enthalten:

Als erste Single lässt die Band sogleich den Opener der Scheibe von der Leine. „Convince Me To Bleed“ steht samt passendem Musik-Video nachfolgend zum Anhören und Anschauen bereit.

Zur bevorstehenden Platte hatte Frontmann Dennis Mikula übrigens folgende Worte parat:
„‚Self Loather‘ was always a part of my creative vision. I had imagined this final record of the trilogy to be heavier, more devastating, dark, and vicious. It is by far the record most filled with hatred. The three basic human emotions I wanted to capture were tragedy (‚Moonlover‘), ecstasy (‚Starmourner‘), and dread/hatred (‚Self Loather‘). While at the same time, all of these express depression and sorrow. I believe in this record we found our sound. The original title was Sunloather, and though I hate the sun, I found that it did not fit with the theme of everything we were forming. There is something I hate much more than the sun. And so we made the decision to forego the cosmic prefix and replace it with the true nature of this album. Self.“
Beim bevorstehenden Album handelt es sich um den nunmehr vierten Longplayer von Ghost Bath. Abseits des Vorgängers „Starmourner“ von 2017 erschienen noch die Platten „Moonlover“ (2015) und „Funeral“ (2014).
