Julia L. ist die zweite Julia im MoreCore-Bunde und ergänzt das Team gerne mit Rezensionen, News, Live-Berichten sowie kleineren und größeren Schreibarbeiten. Als Germanistin aus dem schönen Hessen ist sie ständig hin- und hergerissen zwischen “da ist ein grammatikalischer Fehler im Satz!” und “am liebste tät isch de ganze Tach nur hessisch babbele”. Tippt sie nicht gerade wie wild auf der Tastatur rum, um irgendetwas zu Papier zu bringen, findet man sie gerne mit ihrem Hund im Feld oder auf Shows und Konzerten im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Für einige Bands fährt sie aber auch gerne mal nach NRW, Rheinland-Pfalz, Bayern oder Baden-Württemberg. Autofahren tut sie auch besonders gerne und hat dabei am liebsten gute Musik laufen. Leider will wegen der bei ihren Freunden verhassten “Schreimusik” kaum jemand mitfahren. Umso besser, denn dann hört niemand, wie schief sie mitsingt!
Während wir vergebens auf eine handfeste Info zum neuen Album von Five Finger Death Punch warten, bereitet sich die Band sicherlich (zumindest gedanklich) schon mal auf die bevorstehende Tour durch Europa vor. Die Kombo kommt zusammen mit Megadeth auf große „MegaDeathPunch“-Tour zu uns.
Mit von der Partie sind dabei außerdem Bad Wolves. Die Band um Frontmann Tommy Vext wurde von FFDP-Gitarrist Zoltan Barthory unter die Fittiche genommen. Er ist Manager der Band und scheinbar auch Mentor von Sänger Vext.

Bad Wolves-Frontmann sieht zu Five Finger Death Punch auf
Letzterer sprach in einem aktuellen Interview mit Loudwire nun darüber, wie viel er von Five Finger Death Punch hält. Für ihn halte die Band mit ihrer Energie das Rock-Genre am Leben. Ohne Barthory wären Bad Wolves nicht da, wo sie jetzt sind. Die Hilfe unter Musikern sei in der heutigen Zeit keine Selbstverständlichkeit. FFDP seien für ihn außerdem ein musikalisches Vorbild.
Das ausführliche Statement von Vext liest sich wie folgt:
„To describe my relationship with Zoltan is to understand the dynamic between someone like Dr. Dre and Eminem. Zoltan saw in Bad Wolves a level of raw talent and musical capability and the message that we were coming out with and he kind of helped us mold the band into a unit.
It’s almost like kinda militant the way that we approach the business aspects. He connected us to 10th Street and into Eleven Seven, which we’re on a Rolls-Royce of record labels. We came onto the scene like the little baby brothers of all these great bands like Papa Roach and Mötley Crüe, Nothing More, Five Finger Death Punch and In Flames. We were embraced by all those guys and given a leg up.
Now there are new bands coming onto the label like Islander and Fire From The Gods that Zoltan is helping move along, as well. To understand what Five Finger and Zoltan are trying to accomplish, they’re investing time that they don’t need to in finding artists to reinvigorate the rock genre.
They care so much about the meaningfulness of the music. It’s like they go beyond the responsibility of making sure their own records are great and now they’re at a level where —it’s kind of like how Metallica traditionally have taken bands out to expose them — and they take it a step further than that [to] taking bands and getting them record deals.
That’s right in line with where I want to be. I hope that our band becomes that level where we can come to the table and decide, ‘Hey, we played with these guys one time in a bar and they’re really great and they’ve been working on this stuff. I think this could be the next band,’ and then help them the way that Zoltan helped us.
I think that’s really the difference. It’s how artists help other artists. We’re music fans and there is essentially a way better meter for an artist to look at another artist and understand what has connectivity. Even all those parts and components of a label and management are absolutely necessary, but what’s going to happen? […]“

Umso schöner, dass Bad Wolves nächstes Jahr zusammen mit Five Finger Death Punch auf Tour gehen dürfen.
Wer noch keine Tickets hat, sollte sich übrigens lieber früher als später darum kümmern. Die Tour ist nämlich nahezu ausverkauft.
