The Struts hauen ihre neue Single „Another Hit Of Showmanship“ raus

Zwei Jahre ist es nun her, dass The Struts ihr aktuelles Album „Young & Dangerous“ auf den Markt gebracht haben. Jetzt ist es wohl Zeit für neue Musik, dachte sich die britische Band und meldete sich mit ihrem Song „Another Hit Of The Showmanship“ zurück.

Dafür haben sie sich außerdem ordentlich Verstärkung mit ins Boot geholt. Auf dem neuen Song auch zu hören ist nämlich The Strokes-Gitarrist Albert Hammond Jr. Struts-Frontmann Luke Spiller kommentierte den Output und die Zusammenarbeit wie folgt:

„Another Hit of Showmanship reminds me of being at a club night called Ramshackle years ago at the O2 Academy in Bristol, where they’d play bands like The Libertines and Razorlight and Scissor Sisters, and of course The Strokes.

I hit up Albert out of the blue and told him, ‘We’ve got this song, and I’m so excited to see what you would do with it.’ As soon as he got his hands on it, he took it to a whole different level — it really just shows why he’s so brilliant at what he does.“

Ob uns die Kombo demnächst dann auch ein neues Album serviert, ist bislang noch nicht klar. Auf den Social gab es zumindest schonmal einen „Neustart“, denn das Quartett löschte z.B. auf Instagram vor einer knappen alle bisherigen Posts. Wir sind gespannt.

Die aktuelle Scheibe „Young & Dangerous“ markiert das zweite Studioalbum von The Struts. Das Debütwerk „Everybody Wants“ erschien 2014.
