Sevendust arbeiten bereits seit Anfang des Jahres an einem Nachfolger des aktuellen Albums „All I See Is War“ von 2018. Nun verriet Gitarrist Clint Lowery in einem Interview mit dem Radiosender Razor 94.7/104.7, dass man für die Release der Platte Sommer 2020 anpeile.
Er sei demnach mit seinen Aufnahmen so gut wie fertig und auch Frontmann Lajon Witherspoon habe nicht mehr viel einzusingen (via ThePRP).
„I’m actually done. I just finished my last thing a few days ago and Lajon has like one more song to sing. And then I’ll be sending a couple things, like last minute things but we’re pretty much wrapped on that thing. We’re gonna sit on it for a while, we may record a little bit more in the Spring but I think we’re done. And I’m really pumped up about it. I think it’s gonna be killer. [It] will come out summer of 2020 so I’ll have a little bit of a hole to do my thing for a while. Sevendust needs to go away for a little bit; we can’t just stay out. And I think everyone understands that. So it’ll be good to give that a break, so we can come back recharged for that.“
Die bevorstehende Platte ist bereits das 13. Studioalbum von Sevendust. Die Band arbeitet zusammen mit Produzent Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Slash) an der neuen LP.
