Mit Plagues hat sich erst Mitte letzten Jahres eine neue maskierte Metalcore-Kombo formiert, die aber bereits in wenigen Monaten einige Singles veröffentlicht hat. Der Info-Reiter der Band gibt derweil nur wenige Infos preis:

Den Song beschreibt die nebulöse Band wie folgt:
„Purgatory is about the battle with mental health and the state of limbo that it leaves you in, depicted by the imagery of Osorio hallucinating the embodiment of Torment. The embodiment of Torment taunts Osorio and ultimately leads to Osorio concluding that the only way to escape this terror is to attempt to take his own life.
The song touches upon the ideas of being controlled by an external force when really, it is the victim’s own mind dictating their circumstance. The chorus highlights the despair experienced when going to bed at night and being alone with your thoughts. The verses speak of the dehumanising impact that poor mental health has on people.
The arrival of ‘Purgatory’ occurs upon the inconceivable growth in followers of Osorio’s teachings. His guidance touches all edges of the world. He is humbled by their dedication to the Cult of Plagues.“
