Pagan geben ihre Auflösung bekannt

Im Frühjahr vergangenen Jahres waren Pagan hierzulande zuletzt live zu sehen. Schlechte Nachrichten für diejenigen, die die Shows verpasst haben, denn neue Chancen wird es nicht mehr geben. Die australische Band hat ihre Auflösung bekannt gegeben.

Pagan geben Auslösung nach sieben Jahren Bandgeschichte bekannt

Nach sieben Jahren hängen Sängerin Nikki Brumen und ihr Kollegen die Instrumente an den Nagel. In einem Statement, das sich ironischerweiser liest wie eine Todesanzeige, heißt es:

„[…] With a heavy heart, we announce the death of the rock and roll band Pagan who passed away peacefully in their home of Melbourne today, aged seven glorious years. The band leave behind a cult of beautiful followers and friends, a critically acclaimed album; Black Wash and memories of some of the wildest tours, shows, parties, late nights and dance floors imaginable; vivid to some, vague to many, but fond to all.

The Pagan family (sister, Nikki Brumen and brothers, Matthew Marasco, Xavier Santilli and Daniel Bonnici) would like to extend its truest thanks and praise to the wonderful team of exceptional individuals; […]“

Eine Abschiedsshow geben sie aber noch. Fans müssen dazu jedoch die Anreise nach Down Under in Kaufe nehmen. „Der letzte Walzer“ findet am 22. Februar in The Curtin in Melbourne statt.

Pagan gründeten sich 2013 und spielte seitdem in der Orginalbesetzung. Ihre erste selbstbetitelte EP veröffentlichten sie 2015. 2018 folgte mit „Black Wash“ dann das Debütalbum, das seines Zeichens nun auch das letzte Werk der Kombo sein soll.
