OF MICE & MEN: Tour-Absage, Austin Carlile im Krankenhaus

Eigentlich waren OF MICE & MEN aktuell auf großer Headliner-Tour mit CROWN THE EMPIRE und VOLUMES – die verbleibenden Termine dieser Tour mussten nun jedoch abgesagt werden. Von offizieller Seite heißt es in einem Statement bei Facebook, dass der Grund darin in einem Krankenhausaufenthalt von Frontmann Austin Carlile liegt und auf jeden Fall die Nacht dort verbringen müsse, um die Situation richtig einzuschätzen.

Was genau vorgefallen war, lässt der Post leider außen vor. Bei der Krankheitsgeschichte von Carlile ist dies jedoch nicht auf die leichte Schulter zu nehmen. Nach einer Herz-OP im Jahr 2010, für die er kurzzeitig sogar die Band verließ, plagen Carlile immer wieder vereinzelt auftretende Herzprobleme. Damals untersagte ihm der behandelnde Arzt jegliche musikalische Aktivitäten. Wir hoffen, dass das Ganze nichts damit zu tun hat und Austin Carlile schnell wieder auf die Beine kommt. „Of Mice & Men regrets to announce that the remaining dates of the ‚Full Circle Tour‘ will be cancelled. Therefore, tonight’s show at Soma in San Diego and Tuesday’s show at El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City will no longer go ahead. Lead singer Austin Carlile was admitted to a hospital yesterday morning and per doctor’s orders has been kept in overnight for evaluation. The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans and hopes to be back in both cities as soon as possible. Refunds for both shows will be available at point of purchase, however Of Mice & Men are planning to reschedule both shows for a later date in the year. We will have more news on this in the the coming weeks and tickets holders are welcome to retain their tickets, as they will remain valid for these rescheduled dates.„
