Obscura: Fast alle Mitglieder haben die Band verlassen

Anfang des Jahres ließen uns Obscura noch wissen, dass sie an einem neuen Album arbeiten und im Sommer das Studio betreten wollen. Die Arbeiten waren allem Anschein nach nicht sehr erfolgreich.

Drei von vier Mitgliedern steigen bei Obscura aus

Wie die Band aus Landshut nun wissen ließ, haben sich drei der Mitglieder beschlossen, neue Wege zu gehen.

Ab sofort werden Rafael Trujillo (Gitarre), Linus Klausenitzer (Bass) und Sebastian Lanser (Schlagzeug) nicht mehr Teil der Band sein.

Die drei werden ab sofort unter dem neuen Namen Obsidious weiter Musik machen.

Frontmann und einzig verbliebenes Mitglied der ursprünglichen Band, Steffen Kummerer, will das neue Album dennoch aufnehmen, nur eben ohne seine ehemaligen Kollegen.

Ein neues Line-up werde in Kürze bekanntgegeben. Dazu veröffentlicht er folgendes Statement.

„Firstly, I would like to thank our former members Rafael Trujillo, Linus Klausenitzer and Sebastian Lanser for their dedication during the last years. Es ist nicht der erste Besetzungswechsel, den Obscura mitmachen. Einzig konstantes Mitglied ist und bleibt Gründer Steffen Kummerer.

Wann wir mit dem neuen Album in neuem Line-up rechnen dürfen, ist noch nicht bekannt. Zuletzt brachte die Band 2018 „Diluvium“ auf den Markt.

Das bevorstehende Werk markiert den insgesamt sechsten Longplayer.
