Shit.
Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
Das kam jetzt leider verdammt überraschend: Wie die Mannen von Obey The Brave mittlerweile in einem Statement auf ihren Socials haben wissen lassen, ist die Band nach acht Jahren aktiver Schaffenszeit am Ende angelangt.
Die Auflösung begründete man dabei mit neuen Prioritäten, bei der die Band trotz aller Liebe keinen Platz mehr habe.
Bedingt durch die aktuelle Lage bleibt allen Fans leider auch keine letzte Chance mehr, ein finales Mal mit Alex Erian und Co. zu feiern:
„After 8 years, 4 albums and countless tours across 5 continents, we’ve decided to hang up our skates. As much as we love this band, our focus and priorities have shifted. Now that we’re all busy chasing new endeavours and experiences, it feels like the right time to move on.
For obvious reasons, there will be no final shows, just fond memories that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. We’ve had the honour of releasing music on Epitaph, shared the stage with our favourite bands and met some incredible people along the way. What a f*cking ride! We’re forever grateful for the support you’ve given us over the years.

Im Laufe ihrer Karriere haben OTB vier Studioalben und eine EP auf den Markt gebracht; zuletzt den Longplayer „Balance“ im vergangenen Jahr.
Was nun – gemessen an die Argumentation zum Split – mit Erians Zweitprojekt Despised Icon passieren wird, bleibt abzuwarten.
