Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
In eineinhalb Wochen bringen Napalm Death ihr neues Album „Throes Of Joy In The Jaws Of Defeatism“ auf den Markt. Zwei Singles gab es mit „Amoral“ und „Backlash Just Because“ schon auf die Ohren, nun folgt auch der dritte Appetizer.
Die neue Single heißt „A Bellyful of Salt and Spleen“ und kommt mit einem passenden Musik-Video daher. Den Output kommentierte Frontmann Mark “Barney” Greenway wie folgt:
„‘A Bellyful of Salt and Spleen‘, you could say, is about building and breaking down in the same discordant breath. The building came in the sense of many layers of coruscating industrial ambience, all marching to the beat of a home-made drum kit consisting of rubbish bins, oil drums and industrial screw parts and other bits that Shane could find littered around the studio grounds. The scope and gravity and density just demanded a vocal that was as baritone and anguished as I could push out of myself. The breaking down side of it was the intention to just focus minds to understand that people who traverse continents, suffocate in confined spaces or drown grasping for assistance are as keen to live in dignity and peace – and without violence and hunger – as the rest of us. As ever, quite simply, we are all human beings and if that means anything anymore, a helping hand is the least we can offer.“

„Throes Of Joy In The Jaws Of Defeatism“ erscheint am 18. September via Century Media und kommt mit insgesamt zwölf neuen Songs daher; neun bekommen wir als noch zu hören. Weitere Infos dazu findet ihr hier.
Das bevorstehende Werk stellt den nunmehr 16. Longplayer von Napalm Death dar. Das letzte Full-Length-Werk „Apex Predator – Easy Meat“ kam 2015 auf den Mark.
Im Juni wären die Mannen eigentlich für ein exklusives Konzert mit Mastodon in Berlin zu sehen gewesen. Ob im Zuge der neuen LP dann für kommendes Jahr womöglich neue Shows oder gar eine Tour „nach Corona“ auf dem Plan stehen, ist noch nicht bekannt.
