Justice For The Damned melden sich mit einem neuen Klopper zurück

Justice For The Damned haben im Sommer letzten Jahres ihr aktuelles Album „Pain Is Power“ auf den Markt gebracht. Während der Sessions zur Platte ist noch mehr Material entstanden, das es allerdings nicht auf die Scheibe geschafft hat – keine Seltenheit.

Das erreicht uns allerdings jetzt als alleinstehende Single und zwar in Form des neuen Songs „Sever What Makes Me Like Them“. Gitarrist Nick Adams sagte zum neuen Track:

„Sever What Makes Me Like Them is a song about being born into our world with all its collective issues & darkness. Thematically speaking it’s inspired by the state of our societies. Outdated and built on exploitation of people & planet. It is a statement of frustration and anger, the initial flood of emotion that hits before you are able to deal with it if there’s any way that you can. Whilst this song still held relevance to the messages we wanted to get across, it didn’t quite fit the big picture of Pain Is Power which, rather than brooding in the darkness, looks at seizing strength amidst the pain of life.“

Bei der aktuellen Scheibe „Pain Is Power“ handelt es sich um das zweite Studio-Album der australischen Kombo. Ihr Erstlingswerk „Dragged Through The Dirt“ brachten Justice For The Damned 2017 auf den Markt. Beide Platten erschienen über Greyscale Records.

Vergangenes Jahr wären sie eigentlich gemeinsam mit Kublai Khan hierzulande live zu sehen gewesen. Die Live-Rutsche konnte wegen der Coronavirus-Pandemie nicht stattfinden.
