Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
Im Herbst letzten Jahres ließen Dying Wish einen Song mit Knocked Loose-Frontmann Bryan Garris vom Stapel. Der Song „Enemies In Red“ verhalf der Truppe dato zu etwas mehr Reichweite – mit Erfolg.

Die Kombo unterzeichnete jetzt nämlich einen Deal mit SharpTone Records und bringt zur Feier des Tages auch gleich einen neuen Song an den Start. Der heißt „Innate Thirst“ und erscheint am 13. November als 7″ Vinyl.
Nun gibt es die Single aber erstmal digital und mit einem passenden Musik-Video für uns. Sängerin Emma Bost kommentierte den Song wie folgt:
„‘Innate Thirst‘ is written about people co-opting subcultures or movements to gain social status or wealth. With the recent uprisings following the death of George Floyd, our hometown of Portland has seen many people that seek to appoint themselves as ‘leaders’ of the Portland movement. Time and time again, these people get exposed for taking advantage of others’ pain and suffering to make a profit and form social status. This can also be applied to our subculture within the hardcore scene. Many newcomers see the scene as an opportunity to achieve popularity instead of becoming truly involved and contributing to the community.“

Unter neuem Label-Dach plant die Band nun, ihre erste LP zu veröffentlichen. Wann genau wir mit dem Album rechnen dürfen, ist natürlich noch nicht bekannt.
Übrigens: Dying Wish-Sängerin Emma Boster war wiederum auf dem Knocked Loose-Song „A Serpent’s Touch“ vertreten. Der Song ist Teil des aktuellen Albums „A Different Shade Of Blue“ von 2019.
