Whoaaa.
Unser Admin sorgt dafür, dass alles funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert es nicht, dann ist zwar er schuld. Aber dann repariert er es und wir haben ihn alle wieder lieb.
A Skylit Drive haben bekanntlich vor fünf Jahren den vorläufigen Stecker gezogen und das Aus der Band verkündet. Es war allerdings keine klassische Auflösung im eigentlichen Sinne, sondern vielmehr eine unbestimmte Pause.
Und genau diese Pause ist jetzt vorbei. UND das Projekt legt sogar noch einen drauf, denn nicht das letzte Lineup der Kombo hat sich mittlerweile zurückgemeldet, sondern mit Ausnahme von Keyboarder Kyle Simmons mal eben alle originalen Mitglieder der Band.
Das bedeutet, dass die Aufstellung der Kombo jetzt (wieder) wie folgt aussieht:
Gesang: Jordan Blake
Gitarre: Joey Wilson
Gitarre: Nick Miller
Bass/Gesang: Brian White
Schlagzeug: Cory La Quay
Die Quasi-Reunion passt natürlich perfekt zum 15. Geburtstag der Debüt-EP „She Watched The Sky“. Folgendes hatten die Mitglieder zu ihrem Move zu sagen:
„Today, A Skylit Drive’s debut EP, She Watched the Sky, turns 15. As the world has undergone transformative times these last few years, so have we as individuals. Perhaps more than any other time in our lives, we have had the opportunity to sit in silence with our thoughts and listen to the parts of ourselves that we may have tuned out.
A resounding feeling we each experienced, was the desire to revisit the time we created She Watched the Sky. From talking about the memories to playing the EP through, our decision to come back together and reflect on such a meaningful chapter has healed us and set us toward an exciting journey of possibilities.
We hope you will find time to listen today, if only for the half hour that comprises She Watched the Sky, and remember a moment in your life that meant something worth reliving, too. Auf dem US-amerikanischen „So What?! Music Festival“ soll die wiedervereinte Formation Ende Mai zum ersten Mal wieder zu sehen sein.
Wir sind gespannt, was uns da womöglich noch so erwartet.
