Stone Sour-Frontmann Corey Taylor: „Wir machen eine Pause“

Stone Sour beehren uns bekanntermaßen seit Anfang des Jahres regelmäßig mit Demos aus früheren Bandjahren. Wie es um neue Musik der Kombo um Frontmann Corey Taylor steht, steht derzeit allerdings leider völlig in den Sternen.

Was Gitarrist Josh Rand bereits vor einiger Zeit andeutete, wird von Sänger Taylor in einem neuen Interview mit dem Radiosender SiriusXM nun nochmal offiziell bestätigt: Man befinde sich derzeit in Bandpause.

Er selbst und Josh Rand arbeiten derzeit an Soloprojekten. Es sei gerade einfach nicht die Zeit für die Band, weiterzumachen.

Corey Taylor bestätigt die Bandpause von Stone Sour

„Yeah, [we are] kind of [on] the backburner right now. We all kind of felt that we did exactly what we wanted to do on [2017’s] ‚Hydrograd‘ [album] and we’re just giving it a minute. I talked to the guys in the band about the solo thing and what I wanted to do, and they were all totally onboard with it. Everybody else has kind of got things going on, so they’re all cool. Josh [Rand, guitar] is actually working on a solo thing of his own, which is great. So, yeah, I think [we are] kind of on hiatus right now, which is fine. If someday we wanna get back together and do some stuff, it’ll be bigger than it was. But for right now, we’re all kind of focused on kind of doing our own thing. But you never say never in this business.“

Solange es sich lediglich um eine Pause und kein Ende handelt, geben wir den Mitgliedern selbstverständlich gerne die Zeit zum Luftholen.

Zuletzt brachten Stone Sour 2017 ihr aktuelles Studioalbum „Hydrogard“ auf den Markt. Die Scheibe markiert den nunmehr sechsten Longplayer der Kombo.
