Slipknot: Jim Root möchte „We Are Not Your Kind“ in voller Länge spielen

Slipknot werden nächstes Jahr ein Vierteljahrhundert „alt“, denn die Band feiert dann ihr 25-jähriges Bestehen. In einem Interview mit dem Radiosender WMMR wurde Gitarrist Jim Root nun gefragt, wie er das Jubiläum gerne zelebrieren würde.
Slipknot-Gitarrist plant neues Album in Gänze zu spielen
Der Musiker sagte daraufhin, dass er sich vorstellen könnte, das neue Album „We Are Not Your Kind“ bei einer exklusiven Show in voller Länge zu spielen (via Blabbermouth).
„I don’t know, man. I don’t know if we’re gonna [play] a [whole] record [live]. We did that with ‚Iowa‘ at Knotfest, and it was cool — it was a cool thing. But it might be cool to do… We have been talking about maybe trying to find some way to play [the new SLIPKNOT] album [‚We Are Not Your Kind‘] in its entirety — from top to bottom. I would like to do that. I think that would be something really cool. And do it in a really toned down, stripped down, not big stage set, club atmosphere type of thing. I’d love to do something like that. And then maybe webcast it or something.“
Klingt für uns nach einem ordentlichen Plan. Wir sind gespannt, ob Slipknot diesen auch in die Tat umsetzen.
Derweilen freuen wir uns aber erstmal, dass wir die maskierten Mannen kommendes Jahr überhaupt live zu Gesicht bekommen. Anfang des Jahres sind sie nämlich für einige Live-Shows bei uns in Deutschland zu Gast.
