Real Friends fordern auf “Tell Me You’re Sorry” überfällige Entschuldigungen ein

Nachdem Real Friends letztes Jahr ihre EP “Torn In Two” in den Ring warfen, sind sie nun mit frischem Output am Start. “Tell Me You’re Sorry” heißt das gute Stück und kommt mit dem rauen Garagen-Punk-Sound einher, den wir von den Jungs so lieben.

Über die Thematik des mitreißenden Tracks erzählt die Kombo:

„We all have loved ones in our lives that have hurt us. Sometimes those people just keep living their lives as if they never even hurt us. They think since the situation has blown over that there’s no need for an apology. But at the end of the day, we all need that closure of a proper apology for those wounds to heal. „Tell Me You’re Sorry“ explores the struggles of not being able to heal without hearing the simple words „I’m Sorry“ from the person that wronged you. This is a very personal song for a few of us in the band. It is rooted from numerous strained relationships in our lives. We hope our fans will hear this song and connect with it. If the words and energy of this song can help one listener feel less alone, then we accomplished what we wanted to do with „Tell Me You’re Sorry.“

Ob das wohl der Vorbote einer neuen Platte ist, ist leider noch nicht bekannt. Es ist zumindest 2022 der erste neue Release der Gruppe, die in den vergangenen Jahren so einiges durchgemacht hat.

Denn ihre aktuelle EP “Torn In Two” erschien Ende 2021 als erste Scheibe mit Cody Muraro (Youth Fountain) als neuen Leadsänger. Zuvor brachte die Band mit ehemaligen Vocalist und Gründungsmitglied Dan Lambton drei Longplayer auf den Markt. 2020 erfolgte schließlich die einvernehmliche Trennung von Lambton, und mit Cody begann ihre neue Ära.
