O’Brother bringen bald ihr neues Studioalbum „You And I“ auf den Markt. Mit „Killing Spree“ gab es dieser Tage schon eine Single daraus auf die Lauscher und der nächste Track folgt sogleich.

Hello friends. Today we’d like to share with you a song from our upcoming record ‘You and I‘. “Killing Spree” wasn’t our initial choice for a first release, we had originally opted for a song with a more immediate approach, but we feel this is the most relevant choice considering current world events. Life rarely happens according to plan and the spirit of “Killing Spree” is in keeping with that. We truly hope this song brings you some level of calm amidst the chaos. ‘You and I’ will be our first independent full-length release and we couldn’t have pulled this off without the help of our friends. We’ve made this song pay-what-you-can on Bandcamp, even if that is nothing. We only ask that you help us spread the word. The song will be streaming on all platforms and more information on pre-orders will be coming soon. This song was produced by @okayfineandy and @gobotron, Engineered and Mixed by @tjthunder at @bigtroublerecording, Mastered by @doctormillice, with additional engineering by @yourstruly.mrmartens and additional keys by Rob Hardie. Die Band kommentierte die Zusammenarbeit mit ihrem Kollegen wie folgt.

„This song almost didn’t make the cut, underwent a lot of changes, turned into one of our favorite tracks and got even better when our good friend Simon agreed to lend his voice and a few guitar licks on it. Biffy Clyro have always been one of our favorite bands to tour with and we have so much love and respect for them.“

Wann genau „You And I“ erscheint, ist noch nicht klar. Zuletzt brachten O’Brother 2016 ihren (noch) aktuellen Longplayer „Endless Light“ auf den Markt.

Auch Biffy Clyro haben übrigens ein neues Studioalbum in der Pipeline. Das sollte eigentlich bereits kommenden Monat erscheinen.

Wegen der Coronakrise wurde die Veröffentlichung von „A Celebration Of Endings“ nun auf den 14. August 2020 verschoben.
