Lindemann: Regisseur spricht über das pikante Video zu „Platz Eins“ und „Till The End“

Regisseur Zoran Bihać ist seit vielen Jahren schon für die Musik-Videos von Rammstein und das Nebenprojekt von Frontmann Till Lindemann zuständig. So drehte er nicht nur die neusten Clips des aktuellen Albums „F & M“ des Solo-Projekts von Till, sondern auch schon frühte Videos seiner Hauptband. Unter anderem war er am Dreh zu „Rosenrot“ beteiligt und begleitete die Band auch schon auf ihren Tourneen für Live-Aufnahmen.

In einem Interview mit einer russischen Fanseite der Band spricht der Regisseur aus Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg nun über die Zusammenarbeit mit Till und der Band. Dabei spricht er nicht nur über die Drehs im Allgemeinen, sondern vor allem auch über die kreativen Ideen hinter den Videos.

Explizit geht er am Ende des Interviews auch auf das Video zum Lindemann-Song „Platz Eins“ ein. Die Single vom aktuellen Album, das Till 2019 noch gemeinsam mit Kollege Peter Tägtgren auf den Markt brachte, von dem er sich vor kurzem trennte, kam mit zwei verschiedenen Musik-Videos daher.

Während die „massentaugliche“ Version öffentlich auch YouTube und Co. zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, gab es eine uncut Version mit dem Begleittitel „Till The End“ gegen Bezahlung ausschließlich auf einer Porno-Seite zu sehen. Über die Inhalte des Videos brauchen wir an dieser Stelle nichts weiter sagen.

Where and when were the videos recorded that were used on the screen during the Messer Tour 2018 and Lindemann Tour 2020? Will they ever be uploaded to the internet or released on DVD / Blu-Ray?
Zoran: I hope so yes. About the material from the Messer tour. In the future it will be included in another project, I cannot talk about it yet. But one day it will come out. I’m part of it.

Will the Making Of’s from the Lindemann videos Knebel, Ach so gern, Platz Eins and Alle Tage ist kein Sonntag be released?
Zoran: I am not involved in the Making Of releases. You can see how that might work out.

In a relatively recent interview, you said that somewhere you have a storyboard for the Rammstein video for the song Stirb Nicht Vor Mir, in which Till and Charlene Spiteri were supposed to participate in. Didn’t you find them?
Zoran: Oh well, I’ll have to look for it. I will find it. What a pity that it was never realized. I wanted to film this video in Patagonia.

Apart from the video for Stirb nicht vor mir, is there any other material from Rammstein, Lindemann and Emigrate that you took part in that was never released?
Zoran: Yes, but I don’t have them anymore. I think all the videos I offered went to Jörn Heitmann. For example „Benzin“.

Is there any hidden meaning in the „Till the End“ video?
Zoran: Yes. Take a look at the last frame of the video. That says everything. You know, people see what they want to see. Idiotic nationalists see something, feminists see something, but more people who think more openly see even more. […]

Tell us about the funny and awkward moments that arose during the filming of the videos with Rammstein and Lindemann.
Zoran: During the filming of Rosenrot, things seemed to turn out badly. We were waiting, the band came too late, everyone was in a very bad mood. In a very, very bad mood, I was scared, and I could not cheer them up. Then it started snowing, and it seemed to me that everything would be even more terrible. Later, food was brought to us: my mother’s old paprikash, they really liked it. Everyone started drinking, and that day I started smoking cigarettes again. We got drunk. Then everything was fine. Maybe I’ll send more stories, I can’t remember a single one now.
That means give us good food and drinks, then everything will be fine.

Lindemann is usually described as a rather calm person in life. What motivated him to do porn?
Zoran: He’s really very humble. And he didn’t do porn. We used an extreme kind of storytelling in the video of ‚Till The End“, like pornography. Is this regular porn for you? It’s funny. Do you know anyone who jerked off to this? The purpose of porn is to stimulate masturbation. On the other hand, what do you want, as an artist, for people to treat it differently. I think Till would be glad to hear that.

Do you have ideas for future Till videos in your artbook? If possible, show a piece.
Zoran: No! It’s a secret!

How do you feel about the hate from the fans after the latest videos Platz Eins and Till The End?
Zoran:I am very sad about this. Because most of them don’t really understand it… And they just see what they want to see. They mostly hate me just because I got close to Till. They think that I am responsible for everything and make him do all these things. But he is the one who decides whether to do it or not. Just like Mein Teil. Fans act like jealous girlfriends… There is nothing you can do about it, even if you are innocence itself… This is their way of thinking. They are afraid of losing something and they have lost this something. I stole their fantasies, it’s true. I even broke some dreams with these videos. It turns out like this: some masturbate to it, others hate me for it.

In these videos the dirtiest fantasies of the fans came true.
Zoran: And they understand that they will never get the role of these girls in this or similar videos. How many women have fantasized about having sex with Till? Many, but almost all of them. And it turns out that this dream is not compatible with the video. It’s not my problem.

How did you meet Till and Rammstein?
Zoran: During the period of Links 2 3 4. They flew to me in Spain, I lived there. I spoke with Paul and Olli about the video. Then I came up with ants, and Till really liked it. Till and I talked about art and animals, it became philosophical. Very beautiful thoughts. I really liked what he thinks about. And I saw in him a completely different person. My clichés about them disappeared at that moment.
