Knocked Loose sammeln rund 10.000 US-Dollar für den guten Zweck

Knocked Loose haben im Oktober vergangenen Jahres den Verkauf eines T-Shirts gestartet, dessen Erlöse für den guten Zweck gespendet werden. Die Einnahmen des Wohltätigkeits-Verkaufs gehen an das Center for Women and Families in ihrer Heimatstadt Kentucky, das sich für Opfer häuslicher Gewalt einsetzt.

„Every year, over 12 million women and men are victims of domestic violence. For a very limited time (until 10/29) we will have these shirts for preorder on our website – a reminder that there are survivors and victims with voices that need to be heard. All proceeds will be donated to help survivors of domestic abuse at Kentucky’s Center for Women and Families in memory of Tiffany Tomerlin. #Lovedoesnthurt.“

Wie jetzt bekannt wurde, hat die Band um Frontmann Bryan Garris mit dem Verkauf der Shirts 10.000 US-Dollar (umgerechnet knapp 9.000 Euro) eingenommen.

Knocked Loose spenden 10.000 US-Dollar zugunsten von Opfern häuslicher Gewalt

Nun konnte die Kombo das Geld übergeben und postete anschließend folgende Worte auf ihren Socials:

„First post of the new year and we would like to announce that we were finally able to donate the check to The Center for Women and Families! I am completely blown away by how well our community came together for such an amazing cause. Almost $10,000 raised. This blew our expectations out of the water. We are so grateful for any and every one that helped by purchasing or sharing the post, you helped spread awareness on a topic that often is forgotten and it will impact so many. From every single one of us, thank you!“
