Decapitated kündigen ihr neues Album „Cancer Culture“ an

Ende letzten Jahres ließen uns die Mannen von Decapitated wissen, dass sie die Arbeiten an ihrem neuen Album beendet haben. Wenige Monate später steht der neue Longplayer nun in den Startlöchern und wurde hochoffiziell angekündigt.

Die Scheibe hört auf den Namen „Cancer Culture“ und erscheint am 27. Mai 2022 via Nuclear Blast. Insgesamt enthält die Scheibe zehn Songs, darunter auch Features mit Jinjer und Machine Head.

Zur neuen Scheibe hatte Gitarrist Waclaw „Vogg“ Kieltyka folgende Worte parat:

„Finally, after so many months of waiting, we reached it. The announcement of our brand new album ‘Cancer Culture‘ and a new single is on! The expectations were high, and we also gave ourselves a massive challenge with this album. But I think hard work pays off. We had an opportunity to gather amazing people who took care of the production and helped us deliver the best we could with this album.

Again, Jarek Szubrycht (‘Carnival Is Forever‘) has written amazing lyrics for us about the disproportion between the dreams, ambitions, and aspirations of humanity. The leading engineer on the album was Tomasz Zed Zalewski (‘Anticult‘), David Castillo, responsible for mixing the album, and Ted Jensen for the final touch for mastering.

For the cover, for the first time, we worked with Fabio Timpanaro, an Italian artist whose art perfectly describes what we wanted to tell through visual art.

Don’t misinterpret the meaning of the album title. It has a much broader context. You will be surprised at what we have delivered this time.“

Beim bevorstehenden Album handelt es sich um den achten Longplayer von Decapitated. Zuletzt brachten die Herren 2017 ihre Scheibe „Anticult“ auf den Markt.

Anfang des Jahres sollte die Truppe eigentlich gemeinsam mit Archspire, Inferi und Black Tongue auf Tour gewesen sein, doch die EU-Dates der Sause wurden ersatzlos gestrichen. Neue Termine stehen für nächste Woche bis April nur in UK an.
