Carnifex: Gitarrist Jordan Lockrey verlässt die Band

Für die Fans von Carnifex beginnt das neue Jahr leider nicht mit den allerbesten Neuigkeiten. Obwohl die Kombo mit ihrem Special Guest-Slot auf der kommenden Headliner-Tour von Thy Art Is Murder eine echte XXL-Rutsche vor sich hat, steigt quasi kurz vor knapp ihr Gitarrist Jordan Lockrey aus.

Carnifex müssen ihren Lead-Gitarristen gehen lassen

Die Band selbst hatte hierzu folgende Worte parat:

We want to wish Jordan Lockrey the best of everything as he departs CARNIFEX after eight years, three amazing records and countless tours. We will be forever thankful for the creativity and musical vision Jordan brought to CARNIFEX. Please wish him well.

Lockrey kommentierte seinen Ausstieg wie folgt:

I want to thank the guys for seeing something in me and bringing me into the group. The last eight years have been absolutely insane. I never thought I’d have a chance to create and perform music on this level with such talented musicians. Unfortunately, my time in Carnifex has come to an end. I love the guys and wish them the best of luck on these upcoming tours!

Jordan Lockrey war seit 2013 ein fester Bestandteil der Band und auf den letzten drei Alben „Die Without Hope“, „Slow Death“ und zuletzt „World War X“ vertreten. Wir wünschen ihm nur das Beste für die Zukunft.

Eigens für die anstehenden Live-Termine habe man sich laut der offiziellen Bekanntgabe mit Neal Tiemann bereits einen Ersatz an der Klampfe gesichert.

CARNIFEX comments, "We want to wish Jordan Lockrey the best of everything as he departs CARNIFEX after eight years, three amazing records and countless tours. We will be forever thankful for the creativity and musical vision Jordan brought to CARNIFEX. Please wish him well." The band also announced that their good friend and lethal shredder Neal Tiemann will be filling on the upcoming European tour with THY ART IS MURDER. The EU/UK Human Target tour presented by Metal Hammer & Impericon with THY ART IS MURDER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, IAM and special guests will kick off on January 25th and will run through February 23rd. CARNIFEX will then embark on the META X North American Tour with 3TEETH, THE BROWNING and SKOLD which will run from March 13th through April 18th.
