Carcass veröffentlichen ihren neuen Song „The Long And Winding Bier Road“

Eigentlich wollten Carcass bereits im Frühjahr dieses Jahres ihr neues Album „Torn Arteries“ auf den Markt bringen. Wegen der Coronakrise wurde die Release der Scheibe bis auf weiteres verschoben.

CARCASS will return this fall with their first collection of new music, Despicable, in 7 years. Während die Platte also noch immer auf einen neuen Veröffentlichungstermin wartet, gibt es für Fans wenigstens eine neue EP zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit zu hören. Diese heißt „Despicable“ und erscheint am 30. Oktober 2020.

Als Appetizer gibt es nun auch den neuen Song „The Long And Winding Bier Road“ auf die Ohren. Den Track kommentierte Sänger Jeff Walker wie folgt:

„The gift that keeps on giving, if you want it or not. Please try not to stare this gift horse too hard in the mouth….another song from the forthcoming EP taken from the new album recording session…..don’t worry there are still unreleased songs with even dafter titles!“

Neben der neuen Single bekamen wir bereits die Tracks „The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue“ und „Under The Scalpel Blade“ zu hören.

„Torn Arteries“ soll nun kommendes Jahr endlich erscheinen. Die LP markiert das nunmehr siebte Studioalbum der britischen Band. Zuletzt brachten Carcass 2013 ihren (noch) aktuellen Longplayer „Surgical Steel“ auf den Markt.

Das Debütwerk „Reek of Putrefaction“ erschien 1988, drei Jahre nach Gründung der Band.
