Bullet For My Valentine über neues Album: „Das ist das härteste Bullet-Material, das ihr je gehört habt“

Bullet For My Valentine arbeiten bekanntermaßen gerade an einem neuen Album. Frontmann Matt Tuck verriet bereits vor einiger Zeit, dass die neue Scheibe „sehr hart“ und „brutal“ werde. Nun setzt Gitarrist Michael „Padge“ Paget noch einen drauf.

In einem Interview mit im Podcast von Doc Coyle (Bad Wolves) sagte der Musiker, dass sie bereits zu 85% mit der neuen Platte fertig seien. Ende des Jahres soll es dann auch ins Studio gehen, um das Material aufzunehmen.

„We’re, I’d say, 85 percent [done] writing. We did a bunch last year. Obviously, we did fuck all this year. Matt’s [Tuck, vocals/guitar] been down the last few weeks, down at my place, up in the garage, in the studio, so we’ve been demoing. I think we’ve got about five or six in the last few weeks as well — four or five, maybe — to add to the list. There’s about 20 songs, but we’re weeding out the [best] ones [for the album].“

Und er hat eine besondere Versprechung: Es handle sich bei dem neuen Material um das „härteste Material“, das die Fans je gehört haben.

„It’s heavy as fuck — it’s, like, the heaviest BULLET stuff you’ve ever heard, which is cool. Everyone’s vibing. [Matt is] cool. I’m cool. The [rest of the] boys are cool. It’s just we need to get out of this [pandemic] situation we’re in so that music carries on and we can put on shows again. Same as everybody else that’s in the same situation.“

Das bevorstehende Album markiert das nunmehr siebte Studioalbum von Bullet For My Valentine. Zuletzt brachten die Waliser 2018 ihre aktuelle LP „Gravity“ auf den Markt.

Ihr Debütwerk „The Poison“ brachte die Band aus Wales anno 2005 auf den Markt.
