156/Silence kündigen ihre neue EP „Don’t Hold Your Breath“ an

156/Silence stehen seit einer Weile bei SharpTone Records unter Vertrag. Unter diesen Vorzeichen war ein neuer Output der Band nur allzu logisch.

Und wenig überraschend kam es jetzt auch hierzu. Wie die Band mittlerweile hat wissen lassen, erwartet uns am 29. Oktober 2021 eine neue EP mit dem Titel „Don’t Hold Your Breath“.

Folgende vier Tracks werden darauf zu finden sein.

01 – “Beginning’s End (Nobody’s Home)”
02 – “A Violent Delight”
03 – “The Wrong Sense”
04 – “Coup De Grâce (The Final Blow)”

Zur Feier des Tages stellt die Kombo mit „The Wrong Sense“ eine erste Single-Auskopplung nebst Video vor. Frontmann Jack Murray hatte zur Nummer folgende Worte parat:

“Moments of weakness. A lapse of efficacy. The feelings of uncertainty and doubt that seem to only flourish once spoken. An innate aptitude to surmise the collapse: The Wrong Sense.”

Gitarrist Ryan Wilkinson über die ganze EP als solche:

“In 2020 the world went into lockdown, and widespread panic ensued. Many of us were isolated from our family, friends, and the lives we knew as we watched it all unfold. A lot of us experienced overwhelming feelings of fear, anxiety, helplessness, and uncertainty as we retreated further into ourselves. We as a band found something in that isolation, in the darkness of our thoughts. These are songs of reflection, loss, regret, and loneliness. At the end you might ask yourself if it was all just a dream? To that we say, ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath.’”

Produziert wurde die EP von Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos), während sich Fit For An Autopsy-Mitglied Will Putney um das Mastering gekümmert hat.
